Scott Simpson-Help for Brain Injured Children Golf Tournament

2007

Scott Simpson did a whole lot more than play great golf to make it onto a box of Wheaties. This year marked his 21st year of helping brain injured children by lending his time, talents, and reputation as the namesake for the Scott Simpson-Help for Brain Injured Children Pro-Am Golf Classic. This year’s event was held at the Hacienda Country Club in La Habra Heights. Over 100 professional and amateur golfers joined Scott to support this great cause.

Awards were handed out during a fabulous dinner where golfers were thanked by HBIC’s new executive director, Jimmy Templin. Jimmy swallowed his pride and played his first 18 holes of golf to throw his support behind his new cause. Out-going Director Cleta Harder was given a standing ovation for her 40 year commitment to the organization which she founded in 1967.
